Lone Star Brahmas Defeat Amarillo Wranglers in Recent Games
The Lone Star Brahmas showcased their skill by defeating the Amarillo Wranglers in two recent matchups at the Budweiser Bullpen. On Friday, the Brahmas triumphed with a decisive 5-1 victory, while Saturday?s game ended 3-1 in favor of Lone Star. The Wranglers, currently sitting in seventh place in the South Division of the North American Hockey League, struggled to maintain momentum after their previous loss to the Odessa Jackalopes.
Throughout the first game, the Brahmas established an early lead, with Van Martin scoring first. Despite a strong defensive effort from both teams in the second period, Lone Star capitalized on an empty net in the final minutes, sealing their win. The following night, the Brahmas continued their dominance during the Military Appreciation event, scoring three goals before Amarillo's Jacob Miller netted one, but it wasn't enough to turn the tide. Lone Star's head coach, Dan Wildfong, faced controversy for his team's actions during the pre-game ceremony, which disrupted the event meant to honor military service.
